Class Blog

Class blog
When I start teaching I plan to have a class blog each year. In the blog I will have the following:

-Contact information to me
-Class information (Assignments, outings)
-Post pictures of the students during activities and outings
-Presentations and videos

This will allow booth students and parents to be more interactive in the class.

Small Groups

small groups
I plan to divide my students into small groups. This will help students to use their imagination to create in teams. They will learn teamwork and independent thinking. This allows each student to come up with ideas then work together as a team to create one big idea.

Technology in the Classroom

technology
The technology that I will use in my classroom is special education equipment like electric wheelchairs if a student required them. A hearing or seeing devices that will help any hearing impaired or seeing impaired student. I will also use computers and web cameras. This will allow me to do a class blog.

The programs I will use are Google presentations, spreadsheets, iTunes, Google Earth, blogger, movie maker and a publisher program.

Presentations

presentation
Google presentations will be helpful to me and my students. Some of my students may not be able to afford other power point presentations, so Google presentations allow my students to see assignments for free. Some of things that I plan to use the presentation for are for lectures and assignments for class. I will teach my students to use and create with Google presentations and have them do an assignment using what they learned.

Presentation lectures and assignments show a student visually as well as audibly. I can add pictures to show an example to my students of what I mean and include sound to slides. This is also beneficial to me as a teacher because I can keep organized and know where my place is on the lecture.

Hands on Learning

group of hands
When I was in Elementary school, I was a better learner when dealing with hands on lesson. This means that a student uses more than just their eyes and ears to learn, but able to feel and experience their learning through touch and feel. An Example of this type of learning is show and tell. Students bring in an object or thing to class and share with the class something about the object and other students will be able to hold and feel to understand better.

"I Don't Know"

I Don't Know
I want my students to be able to get the best possible learning experience with me as their teacher. I want my students to be able to come to me when they have any questions and concerns on an assignment. My students should be able to answer a question that I ask and say, “I don’t know” then be able to learn in a fun and exciting way to get an answer. I do not want my students to hide away thinking that if they are wrong with an answer that I would disapprove nor have other classmates laugh and make negative comments about that student. I want to be in control of my classroom but keep it as fun and energetic as possible.
